I'm an artist who likes to paint abstract oil paintings. I also make music.
I discovered my love of painting at 18 when I painted with oil paints for the first time. Oils freed me to experiment on the canvas and not commit the same way acrylic and other forms of paint require with their fast drying times. While studying at Concordia University in Montreal I took fine arts classes to develop my painting style, and it was at the end of my first class when we were told to do an abstract painting that I discovered my love of abstraction. I have most often been compared to two of my heroes, Georgia O'Keeffe and Wassily Kandinsky. I have had painting exhibitions in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Los Angeles. I have also licensed paintings and drawings to movies and commercials as I work in the props and set decoration part time since becoming a mom.
I'm currently finishing a program to be an education assistant working with kids in schools and look forward to bringing my creative side to the school environment.

Gallery Godo, Los Angeles - December 2010

I participated in this group show in the Glendale area of Los Angeles in December 2010. It was a great turn out with live music, a good group of talented artists and a fun gallery owner. It was also my first exhibition in the US, so very exciting for me.
National Arts Centre, Ottawa - November 2004

I was chosen to include a work in the gallery aspect of the show put on at Canada's National Arts Centre in Ottawa called an "Evening of Circus." The show was put on by one of Canada's prominent circus acts Aytahn Ross, and Aytahn also bought my painting "The Milky Way" which is a cartoon like view of the solar system to juggle in front of live. I included the painting "Matabolic Dance" to the show as I think the body operates in a perfect circus like dance where everything happens the way it needs to. It was an honour to have my work on display at the National Arts Centre!

Roy St. Collective, Montreal - October 2004

This was my first solo show in Montreal which I named "Liquid Lullabies." I liked the name so much
and thought it's so evocative of my paintings that I named this website after it. This arts gallery and work space in Montreal's trendy Plateau area was a great place to show my work, meet other artists, and we
opened with a fun party.
