ABOUT Sophia was born in Toronto, Canada and spent time living in Montreal before moving to Los Angeles to further her artistic career. She has practiced different art forms her whole life, modelling herself on Renaissance artists, digitally and traditionally. She has been writing music and prose since she was a teenager, fell in love with photography and then moved on to videography and filmmaking in her twenties, all the while painting, and now working as a video editor alongside her filmmaking and music career. After graduating from the Liberal Arts College and Communications Department at Concordia University in Montreal, Sophia worked in public broadcasting and within the film and television industries in Toronto and Montreal. After a few years she decided she wanted to make a film so she shot a Green Party candidate's 2004 election campaign. With a small grant, "Democracy 4 Dummies" was born, and it's now in libraries, universities, and homes across Canada, distributed by the National Film Board. When Sophia moved to LA she joined a band called "Light FM," and is having lots of fun playing keyboards and singing. She currently shoots and edits videos of music, fashion, and various entertainment events and is in development on several film and television ideas through her production company The Man Productions.
