Sophia began painting with oils when she was 18, and enrolled in painting classes at Concordia University in 1996. She discovered she liked abstract painting with oils, and now paints abstract paintings whenever she has time. She enjoys the process of dissolving painted structures and blending the images until the painting feels balanced visually.

In 2004, she had her first solo show in Montreal at the Roy St. Collective, and participated in a group show at the National Art gallery. She was a part of Montreal's Recycle'd Art shows in 2005, and 2006, and Montreal's BJ Wood premiere online pre-sale and exhibition in 2007. She will be participating in BJ Wood's second online presale and exhibition, with the vernissage weekend April 26 and 27, 2008. It's at: 4361 De Bullion #206
