Electroacoustics:

Sophia studied electroacoustics at Concordia university, and here are some of her compositions:

alarm calls (1:33) (1999)

wheel of fortune (2:45) (1999)

In 1999, Sophia did a project for the Canadian Electroacoustic Community that explores how sound translates from one medium to another. She wrote to, drew to, and used photographs as metaphors, as well as performed spectogram analysis on the electroacoustic pieces. View the project here.

In 1998, Sophia released her favourite recordings of 96-98 with 30 tapes made of "songs from a box" which she destributed to friends and family on her birthday. It's true the gift of giving is the best gift of all!
